Dr. Daniel J. Del Gaizo of UNC Healthcare Named NC Top Doc
Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, Daniel J. Del Gaizo, MD of UNC Healthcare has been reviewed and approved by NC Top Docs for 2020.
Dr. Del Gaizo completed Medical School at George Washington University prior to completing an internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of North Carolina Hospital.
His Chief Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery was also completed at the University of North Carolina Hospital. Dr. Del Gaizo completed his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Rush University Medical Center in 2011.
Currently Dr. Del Gaizo is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at UNC Orthopaedics. He has special interests in joint replacement for active individuals, partial knee replacement, accelerated post operative rehabilitation, and minimizing postoperative pain.
“Being a joint replacement surgeon is a tremendous privilege. I aim to treat each patient as if they were my close family,” says Dr. Del Gaizo.
Dr. Del Gaizo has recently accepted a position at the University of South Carolina Prisma Health in Columbia, SC. He will begin seeing patients there at the end of June and would be happy to continue to see his established patients there if logistically feasible.
